Unsent Messages

it’s been a while. You will probably never see this but I think this is more for me. It’s probably once a week that I’m triggered by something and I hear your words in the back of my head, wondering how you could ever treat me the way you did. How you probably don’t feel bad for anything you did. God I loved you so much and you had no idea. I wanted to spend forever with you and I was willing to do anything to make sure it happened. I tried to look over all the toxicity but I’m glad we went our separate ways. I don’t know what you’re doing and where you are but I wonder if you ever think back on the life we did have together. If you lay awake and just think about a specific moment and then try to erase it. I’m really excited for the day where I can forgive you but now I’m at the point where I just wonder why you acted the way you did.
