It’s been months since you cut me off completely, not going to lie, it was incredibly painful to not have the person whom promise me not to leave no matter what, who saw important people leaving my life and promised me to not do the same. But I thank you for doing so. I love the version of myself right now, watching the growth and maturity of my mindset towards my future, but most importantly, to not have my happiness depend on someone else other than myself. I finally gave myself the strength to forgive my past actions and that’s all I need. You’re my first love and there’s no doubt I still believe that we’re soulmates, but your true colors are showing and you’re no longer the sweet boy whom I fell in love with. You’re a different version who I can’t recognize. Despite that, I’m keeping my promise because we were once best friends, I’m here... always.
